We left Newport after Hose the 2nd Hurricane and bad conditions in Newport and ahead of the next cat3 Maria. The departure after the storm was perfect flat motoring in a slight swell.

We headed to the islands first, then Maine followed by blast across bay of Fungy to Nova Scotia then a downwind blast back to Cape Cod.

Nova Scotia was a a beautiful place and the conditions for the 2 weeks were amazing with hardly any fog.

Great delivery from Bermuda to Newport. Conditions were looking good for the trip a few days in advance and needed to leave to get ahead on the bad conditions following the perfect flat but windy delivery.

From departure its was TWA 90 conditions in flat seas, wind was due to go more from behind as the trip went on and it did. We had a few hours of motoring through the light wind and rain around the Gulf Stream then into good downwind sailing breeze all the way to newport. We hardly even noti...

We left the gorgeous Virgin Gorda, BVI on the 21st May on a nice E 18kts TWS forecast for Bermuda. We had to put out foot down to beat the wind due to arrive 5 days later in Bermuda.

First day was fast and wet and last 2 days were fair and a day on motoring.

Bumped into a friend on arrival to Bermuda and rafted alongside his ketch in probably the best spot in Bermuda. Sheltered and stunning with just a short hop out to get into the AC zone. Great guys onboard and a party zone.

April 22, 2017

Great to be able to have my dad and Uncle Dennis onboard for the delivery from Antigua to BVI, obviously with some play time in the beautiful BVI. Left on 24th April after some Classic regatta viewing and finishing of the paint job onboard Paradox deck.

We had a glamour trip north with perfect winds.

April 1, 2017

After the paint job in Guadeloupe we had to take the boat to Barbados to change out the staysail for the new race sail and load up with delivery gear for trip north to RI.

Crew onboard were Di, Dave Broadbent , Emma and me. Great weather and a reach to Barbados in flat sea then a slow trip north via Grenadines picking best weather conditions.

March 9, 2017

Arrived in GL on the 4th March ready to be lifted out on the 6th in the dry dock. Super efficient, cost effective and easy to do especially with the previous captain Olivier running the yard:)

Arrival in Barbados had to be celebrated with some Kitesurfing at Long beach and Silver sands. Great to find out that an old friend from Poole was on the island teaching at the same time so got some time to kite with the guys from Easy Riders.

After Barbados we headed for the following:

- Martinique (south then East) with the light breeze it was perfect for exploring

- St Lucia

- Bequia

- Tobago Cays, what an absolutely amazing spot.

- Union Island, West coast

- Grenada, South Coast

We started from Canet, France headed for Barbados via lanzerote. Canet was super hard to leave from as expected in the winter time. Big E sea's blocked us in during December.

We managed to leave just before Xmas by getting someone to call the wave sets at the harbour entrance but due to big sea and debris in the Mediterranean we had no choice but to pull into Barcelona during xmas and wait for the weather system to die down for a week.

We left Barcelona just after xmas on a nice forecast...

Cowes round Ouessant race is a great course. We had nice conditions for pushing the MOD and had some glamour sailing. Start was light and Pheado got some lucky breeze which gave them a head start out off Portland. Close race.

Great to bump into Alain Thebault in France. Randomly bumped into each other in the airport in Toulon. Good memories with this dude and he's still as crazy as ever.

July 17, 2016

Beautiful place to explore. Tons of anchoring spots and great sea breeze for blasting around in even on light air forecast days.

July 8, 2016

Flat seas and good breeze for the whole race up until 15nm from the line where the wind dropped to 5 TWS. Luckily the boys managed to get the tradjectory right for drifting over the line.

A few words from Paul Larsen after a testing Volvo Round Ireland Yacht Race:

Incredible race that had it all. Gutted to have missed this one in the last minutes but sometimes in sailing, well... you get that. There were some real hairy moments out there. There was lots of fog and rain. We rounded right underneath the Fastnet Rock with the beam from the lighthouse eerily sweeping across the top of the rig... but we couldn't see anything else. The full rig VMG downwind run down the back was fas...

Ned Collier Wakefield, skipper of Concise 10, is relishing the prospect of taking on Musandam-Oman Sail. The British MOD 70 will be returning to RORC racing after a spectacular duel with Phaedo3 in the RORC Transatlantic Race and the RORC Caribbean 600.

"Oman Sail has been the scratch boat for the MOD70s for a long time and it will be interesting to line up against them" commented Ned Collier Wakefield. " We have huge respect for them, in what they have achieved. We found over...
